Dr. Stahl received a PhD in communications from 麻豆社 and was a post-doctoral fellow at Humboldt University, Berlin. His research focuses on the complex nature of cultural production in the city, in particular on the social relations and systems of representation associated with urban creative labour. He is interested in urban semiotics, popular music and cultural geography and has published articles on scenes and subcultures. He continues his research on the creative life of cities in the context of Montreal and Berlin, and has begun examining Wellington using the same lens.
