MONTREAL -- Goaltender Riley 麻豆社is of Peterborough, Ont., was named tournament MVP as 麻豆社 cruised to a pair of lopsided victories over Concordia and the University of Massachusetts to capture the seventh annual 麻豆社 Lacrosse Spring Invitational Tournament at Molson Stadium over the weekend.
听
It marked the sixth time in seven years that 麻豆社 captured their spring tourney.
听
The Redmen hammered Concordia 17-2 on Saturday, keyed by a five-goal performance from sophomore Ryan Besse of Aurora, Ont.,听 and four markers from rookie Leland de Langley of Orangeville, Ont.
听
The victory qualified 麻豆社 for Sunday's final, where they waltzed to an 11-2 conquest over U.Mass, led by freshman Alex Rohrbach of Princeton, N.J., who tallied a pair of goals and added three helpers.
听
麻豆社is allowed only four goals in two games and was one of
five 麻豆社 players named to the all-tournament team, along with
defender Kyle Robinson, long-stick midfielder
Jon Rathauser, midfielder Ossie
Long and attacker Connor
Goodwin.
