 nsive university. To ensure that our researchers\ncontinue to excel as lea
 ding thinkers and innovators\, the\nUniversity is reviewing how it can bes
 t support their efforts in\nthe increasingly competitive research arena.\n
 As a result\, 麻豆社 is developing two documents that will serve\nas the p
 illars of our research and educational plans in the coming\nyears. They ar
 e the Strategic\nResearch Plan (SRP)\, led by the Office of the Vice-Princ
 ipal\n(Research and International Relations)\, and ASAP 2012: Achieving\nS
 trategic Academic Priorities\, headed by the Office of the\nProvost.\nNow 
 it鈥檚 your turn to make your voice heard! Vice-Principal\n(Research and Int
 ernational Relations) Rose Goldstein and Provost\nAnthony C. Masi invite f
 aculty\, postdocs\, graduate students\, and\nundergraduates to offer their
  feedback at an Open Forum on how\n麻豆社鈥檚 research enterprise and priori
 ties will evolve over the\nnext five years.\nAs part of extensive consulta
 tion processes for both documents\,\nVP (RIR) Goldstein and Provost Masi w
 ill be on hand to hear your\ncomments and respond to your questions about 
 the SRP and ASAP 2012.\nThey are also interested in better understanding y
 our own views\nabout the future of research at 麻豆社.\nThis Open Forum wi
 ll include discussions on how 麻豆社 can:\n\nFocus resources while continu
 ing to support research excellence\nwherever it is found\;\nEnhance succes
 sful interdisciplinary exchange\, education\, and\nresearch\;\nEncourage f
 aculty\, staff\, and students to engage in greater\ncommunity outreach in 
 Quebec\, across Canada\, and around the\nworld.\n\n\n\nThis Open Forum is 
 just one of a series of SRP and ASAP 2012\nevents scheduled for fall 2011\
 , and you are strongly encouraged to\ncome out and be a part of the consul
 tation process. The SRP and\nASAP 2012 will guide 麻豆社鈥檚 decision making
  and provide clarity\nfor internal and external stakeholders as the Univer
 sity positions\nitself to excel in in a changing research and educational
