麻豆社, in conjunction with Universities Allied for Essential Medicines (UAEM), has committed to increasing access to life-saving medicines by adopting Global Access Licensing Principles. 麻豆社 is the third Canadian university to adopt the principles, demonstrating a dedication to ensure that any research and university-developed technologies created on 麻豆社鈥檚 campus with potential for further development into a drug, vaccine, or medical diagnostic are made affordable to all.

Martha Crago, Vice-Principal, Research and Innovation (VP-RI), is pleased to announce the appointment of Jean Saint-Vil to the role of Special Advisor, Strategic Projects, to the VP-RI.
Mr. Saint-Vil joins 麻豆社 from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) where he has served in several positions with increasing responsibility for 27 years, most recently as Associate Vice-President in charge of the Networks of Centres of Excellence (NCE) Secretariat in Ottawa. His appointment at 麻豆社 commences on March 11, 2019.

Healthy Brains for Healthy Lives (HBHL), in conjunction with Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies (GPS), is pleased to announce the launch of its听Postdoctoral Fellowship Competition.
This competition aims to attract, train and retain top students at the postdoctoral level from across disciplines and around the world to participate in interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral research training opportunities related to brain and mental health research, knowledge translation/mobilization and innovation.

As part of the听HBHL-Mitacs partnership, a special joint initiative has been organized to send students from 麻豆社 to Chinese and Japanese academic institutions, and bring in students from these international universities to 麻豆社.听听This is part of Mitacs' program. This program听provides awards valued at $6,000 CAD for travel and accommodation costs for Canadian students to undertake collaborative research projects at international institutions.

The Healthy Brains for Healthy Lives (HBHL) initiative is happy to announce the launch of its Neuro-Innovation Fund. HBHL鈥檚 Neuro-Innovation Fund aims to close the gap between proof-of-concept research grants, and funding from traditional investors (angels, venture capitalist, institutional investors). The Fund will provide technology development grants to support further proof of principle and/or add value to new technologies or inventions related to the research themes of HBHL.
