GCPA students awarded Arthur D. Ruby Prizes for Academic Excellence

Congratulations to Maya Lavoye (BCom’25), Tali Kay Adam (BCom’24), Tristan Dufresne (BCom’25), Justin Neemeh (BCom’25), Matthew Neiss (BCom’25), Liana Cianci (BCom’25), Rayan Phaneuf (BCom’25), Emile Tousignant (BCom’25), Elliott Viau (BCom’25), and Gabrielle Morneau (BCom Concordia’24) who were awarded the Arthur D Ruby Prizes in Management by the Graduate Certificate in Professional Accounting (GCPA) program.

Established thanks to a generous bequest from Gary Leslie Ruby, the prizes honour Arthur D Ruby, one of the first accountants in Quebec to be made Fellow of the Order with the Ordre des comptables agrees du Québec. The prizes, valued at $600 each, are awarded to students graduating from the GCPA program whose academic records are judged to be outstanding among those who graduate during the academic year.


Graduate Certificate in Professional Accounting (GCPA Program)

The Âé¶¹Éç GCPA program at Desautels is an accredited Professional Education Program (PEP) of CPA Quebec. The program is designed to provide students with professional training on the latest CPA concepts and practice-related issues while preparing them to write the national Common Final Exams (CFE). Completion of a PEP and passing of the CFE are two of the required components for obtaining the highly respected CPA designation.
