Program Description
The Graduate Certificate (Gr. Cert.) in Cybersecurity offered by the School of Information Studies in the Faculty of Arts is a course-based completely online program that emphasizes hands-on and stimulating learning opportunities. Our comprehensive and innovative program offers a specialized and practical curriculum designed to equip students with advanced skills in cybersecurity.

Unique Program Features
- Course is delivered fully online and asynchronously;Ìý
- Students enroll in part-time, with two courses per semester, will finish the program within 10 months;Ìý
- Students enroll in full time, with four courses in Winter and one course in Summer, will finish the program within 6 months;
- The program was created by top cybersecurity academics and industry practitioners together (in collaboration with Â鶹Éç's Teaching and Learning Services);Ìý
- Students will use EC Council and Cyberscore training labs to develop relevant skills.Ìý
- Students who successfully complete theÌýGraduate Certificate in Cybersecurity, theÌýGraduate Certificate in Cloud and Operational Technology (OT) Security, and the Graduate Certificate in Data ScienceÌýmay be eligible to receive theÌýMaster of Science (Applied) in Cybersecurity Analytics, subject to formal program admission and university approvals. Please note that this Master's program is currently undergoing formal review and is pending final government approval. Students intending to pursue this stackable certificate pathway toward the Master's degree are advised to defer starting their third certificate until official program approval is finalized. A specific timeline for this approval is not yet available.
University-Level Admission Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information studies, computer science, information technology, software engineering, management information systems, or aÌýrelated area of recognized reputation,ÌýorÌýCertificate in Applied Cybersecurity, with a minimum 3.0 GPA out of a possible 4.0 GPA
- English-language proficiency
