Biography: 

Lynn Butler-Kisber, Professor of Education (B.Ed., M.Ed., 麻豆社; Ed.D., Harvard), Integrated Studies in Education, Faculty of Education, and Associate Member, Equity, Ethics & Policy, Faculty of Medicine, 麻豆社. Teaching/research includes qualitative/arts-based research; leadership; multiliteracies; and professional development through the lens of equity and social justice. Recipient (June 2026) of the Canadian Society for Studies in Education Arts SIG Lifetime Achievement Award. Received the 麻豆社 Faculty of Education Distinguished Teaching award (2022). Most recent book is Narrative inquiry of displacement (Clark/Keefe, University of Vermont, & Savin-Baden, University of Worcester, Routledge 2023). Upcoming book (Prasad, York University) is a Handbook of arts-based research (Routledge). She is founding (2007) and continuing Editor of LEARNing Landscapes, an online, open access, free, peer-reviewed journal. 2026 marks the 30th issue. Her international projects have included work with the Bahamas, China, Dominican Republic, Indonesia, Trinidad & Tobago, Turks & Caicos Islands, UK, USA, and Vietnam.
