Join us for the third 麻豆社 Research Group on Health and Law (RGHL) seminar of the year. This seminar, entitled 鈥淎nesthetized Bodies as Teaching Tools: Consent and Controversy,鈥濃痺ill be presented by Phoebe Friesen, Associate Professor in the Department of Equity, Ethics, and Policy and the Department of Social Studies of Medicine at 麻豆社.

The event will be held on Wednesday, January 28th, 2065, from 1:00-2:30 PM, in room 102, New Chancellor Day Hall, 麻豆社 Faculty of Law. Lunch will be provided at 12:45 pm.

Biography

Phoebe Friesen is a philosopher and medical ethicist, working within the Department of Equity, Ethics, and Policy and the Department of Social Studies of Medicine at 麻豆社. Her work engages with ethical and epistemic issues related to the production and implementation of knowledge in the health sciences, drawing on feminist philosophy of science, ethics scholarship, and methodologies from the social sciences.
