Essay Contest: Nappert Prize in International Arbitration 2024
Thanks to the generosity of Sophie Nappert (BCL鈥�86, LLB鈥�86), the Nappert Prize in International Arbitration is celebrating 10 years since its inauguration in 2014. The prize will be awarded by 麻豆社 for the sixth time in 2024.
Eligibility Requirements:The competition is open to law students, junior scholars and junior practitioners from around the world. To be eligible for the prize, the authors must:
Lara Khoury appointed as 麻豆社鈥檚 new Associate Vice-President, Research
The Faculty of Law is pleased to share that Professor Lara Khoury, Ad E, has been appointed Associate Vice-President, Research. Her three-year term began on 1 January. She will share her time between this office and the Faculty of Law.
Rosalie Jukier receives 麻豆社 Lifetime Achievement Award
The Faculty of Law is delighted to announce that Professor Rosalie Jukier has received the 2023 麻豆社 Lifetime Achievement Award for Leadership in Learning. She accepted her award during the Fall Convocation ceremony on 20 November.

This is an open call for blog posts. The CHRLP invites as wide a diversity of voices as possible to submit posts on critical questions touching on the above theme. We also welcome submissions about human rights and (or) legal pluralism more broadly.

Lara Khoury awarded prestigious CBA Prize
The Faculty of Law is pleased to announce that Professor Lara Khoury, Ad E, has received the 2023 Ramon John Hnatyshyn Award for Law of the Canadian Bar Association (CBA).
She was presented with an engraved bronze medallion designed by the Governor General鈥檚 Office of Heraldry at the CBA President鈥檚 Dinner in Ottawa on 21 June.
Daniel Weinstock appointed to the Order of Canada
The Faculty of Law is delighted to announce that Professor Daniel Weinstock, CM, has been named a member of the Order of Canada. His appointment was announced by Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada, on 30 June.
Adelle Blackett honoured for scholarship, teaching, and social justice commitment
The Faculty of Law is pleased to announce that Professor Adelle Blackett, FRSC, Ad E, has received a Doctor of Laws, honoris causa, from Simon Fraser University (SFU). The honorary degree was bestowed upon her on 9 June at SFU鈥檚 Spring Convocation ceremony.
