鈥n many countries, including Canada, neglect is the most common type of maltreatment, says Monica Ruiz-Casares, an associate professor in the psychiatry department at 麻豆社.

But what exactly is neglect? According to Ruiz-Casares, it鈥檚 pretty subjective. 鈥淭here鈥檚 no clear threshold at which so-called poor parenting crosses the line into neglect,鈥 she says.

Leyton Addiction Research Prize

It is with great pleasure that we announce the winner of the annual Leyton Addiction Research Prize. The competition was strong, but the review committee (unanimously) agreed that Danilo De Gregorio鈥檚 paper titled Lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) promotes social behavior through mTORC1 in the excitatory neurotransmission was the most deserving of this year's $1,000 prize. Danilo is a Postdoctoral Fellow supervised by Dr. Gabriella Gobbi.
