From June 29 to July 3, the School of Computer Science hosted its 2026 �鶹�� Computer Science Camp for high school and CEGEP students from across Quebec, offering a week of immersive coding and learning.

�鶹�� has officially opened a new teaching greenhouse and advanced plant phenotyping facilities at its Macdonald Campus, marking a major investment in climate-focused agricultural education and research. Designed for hands-on undergraduate and graduate training, the sustainable greenhouse features controlled growing bays, teaching labs, tissue culture facilities and classrooms, giving students direct experience with modern, climate-smart production systems.

Kerrigan Sunday successfully defended her PhD Oral Defence in Currie Room 304 on June 8th, 2026.

The title of her thesis:
"Sex-specific biomechanics of fatigue and foot numbness in cycling"

2025 Patterson Distinguished Service Medal

Professor Parisa A. Ariya was selected as the recipient of the 2025 Patterson Distinguished Service Medal, an award widely regarded as the most prestigious Canadian distinction recognizing exceptional contributions to meteorology. Meteorology is a broad discipline within the atmospheric sciences and encompasses several specialized research areas, including atmospheric chemistry, atmospheric physics, dynamic meteorology, hydrology, climatology, and climate change. The award consists of a formal citation, a framed letter, and a gold medal.
