The Social Science and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) has awarded $14 million to 62 �鶹��-led projects, including one Partnership Grant, four Partnership Development Grants, and 57 Insight Grants. Unusual calcite formation discovered at the site of �鶹�� Sustainability Park

�鶹��’s Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences is now studying it as part of research about the Island of Montreal

A rock featuring a white calcite vein in a rare ‘petal’ formation has been extracted from the construction site of the future �鶹�� Sustainability Park.

Attached to a chunk of grey stone, the full rock is the approximate size of a microwave. It was discovered by construction workers north of Pine Avenue.
