Dr. Erica Moodie among six new Canada Research Chairs for 麻豆社

Dr. Erica Moodie, Professor at the Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Occupational Health, was named a new Canada Research Chair (Tier 1) in Statistical Methods for Precision Medicine.

Today, at l鈥橴niversit茅 du Qu茅bec 脿 Trois-Rivi猫res, the Honourable Fran莽ois-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry investments of more than $635 million for science, research, and engineering in Canada.

Investments were made through the听听(CRC) program and The Canada Foundation for Innovation鈥檚听, in partnership with the CRC. Funding was also awarded via the Natural Sciences and Engineering Council of Canada鈥檚 (NSERC)听, the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council鈥檚 (SSHRC)听,听,听听and听.

The CRC program is a tri-agency initiative of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHC). Granted in this round to 麻豆社, six new Chairs, as well as three renewals.

At 麻豆社, more than 200 grants were awarded through NSERC and SSHRC to researchers in departments across the University. 麻豆社 garnered three new SSHRC听, 26听, 30听, and 138听. Also awarded were four听, one听, 11听, and 28听.
