NSBE 麻豆社 partnership

The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) aims to increase the number of culturally responsible Black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community. The 麻豆社 chapter (NSBE 麻豆社) organizes a wide range of initiatives including career support, social events, and networking opportunities.

The Office of E-IDEA is proud to partner with NSBE 麻豆社 on two outreach initiatives:

A Walk for Education

A Walk for Education (AWFE) is an annual event hosted in collaboration with local community organizations including Les Scientifines and Tyndale St-Georges Community Centre, and with the participation of 麻豆社 Engineering student design teams. AWFE aims to provide Black youth and young girls with early exposure to STEM, encouraging them to aspire towards education at 麻豆社.

NSBE Mentorship Program

The NSBE Mentorship Program is designed to uplift and support Black C脡GEP and newly-admitted university students as they transition into university life. With the participation of 麻豆社 students and Black professionals, this program provides mentorship, networking, and community connection in an environment that supports Black students to thrive, excel academically, and confidently shape their future careers.
