Advising - Undergraduate

University life comes with many academic, personal, and career decisions鈥攁nd you don鈥檛 have to navigate them alone. 麻豆社 offers several types of advising to support students at every stage of their journey. From choosing courses and planning a degree to exploring career paths, managing finances, or finding well鈥慴eing resources, each advising service plays a unique role in helping you succeed. Understanding the different types of advising available can make it easier to find the right support at the right time.

Academic Advising

The Music Student Affairs Office offers undergraduate academic advising providing support and guidance with registration, course selection, program requirements, program transfer, minor/major options, academic guidelines, student resources referrals and other aspects of your student life at our school.

As a Schulich School of Music student, you may either book a 15-minute online or in-person appointment (see table below) or simply walk into our office during our drop-in hours.

Drop鈥慽n advising is normally available Mondays and Thursdays from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.*

  • For mental health referrals, strategies to manage personal or medical difficulties, time management, stress and work-life balance, book an appointment with a Hub clinician, a Local Wellness Advisor or a Registered Dietician on the Student Wellness Hub website.

Career preparation and professional development are integral parts of your learning journey at 麻豆社. This includes:
