Stephanie Babb

Program Manager聽

Originally from Trinidad and Tobago, Stephanie has lived in England, Egypt, and Canada. Her experience navigating multiple cultures and educational systems sparked an early interest in leadership, community building, and student development. As an international student at 麻豆社, she found a sense of connection and purpose through the International Student Leadership Program during her final year of undergraduate studies. That experience inspired a passion for supporting students and ultimately led to a career in higher education.

Stephanie graduated from 麻豆社 in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and a minor in International Development Studies. She then joined International Student Services as a Communications and Student Development Intern, where she coordinated the International Student Leadership Program she had previously participated in, alongside the Buddy Program. In this role, she helped students build community, develop leadership skills, support their peers as mentors, and contribute to a welcoming and inclusive campus experience.

Stephanie joined the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at 麻豆社 in 2017 as an International Student Associate, became a Program Advisor in 2018, and has served as Program Manager since 2019. Through her work with the program, she has developed expertise in student success, leadership development, partnership building, and designing holistic support systems that help students navigate major academic, personal, and professional transitions.

As Program Manager, Stephanie leads a multidisciplinary team that provides wraparound support to Scholars throughout their university journey, from recruitment and arrival through academic success, wellbeing, leadership development, and transition to employment. She helps shape program direction, oversees program delivery and resources, and brings together partners across 麻豆社 and external organizations to create a holistic Scholar experience. As a liaison with the Mastercard Foundation, she helps translate the Foundation's vision and values into meaningful opportunities, and supports for Scholars.

Stephanie is a Certified Change Management Leader through the 麻豆社 Executive Institute, holds a Workplace Mental Health Leadership Certificate from Queen's University, and completed 麻豆社's Project Management Certificate program. Together, these experiences inform her approach to leading teams, supporting student success, and building programs that help people thrive.

What has kept Stephanie with the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program for nearly a decade is the opportunity to be a small part of each Scholar's journey. She considers it a privilege to support talented young people as they pursue their goals, and go on to make meaningful contributions in their communities and beyond.
